The women’s regional championship of Brittany took place on Saturday 10th December. Some spots for the D2W national championship were available, so let’s have a look at the results !

Although the number of players was small, Rennes did a great job. With only five players, the 2nd placed team of Round 1 of Division 1 performed admirably. Sophie Ginsbourger, Aurélie Yver, Clémence Meunier as well as Bérengère and Lise Bézier won the final against PonKer. This new team (formerly Pontivy/Quimper) secured their place in D2 where they will try to do better than their sixth place last season. Dinan, missing several of their key players including Marie Giacomello, Nolwenn Bourrien and Amélie Blayo-Nogret, finished third ahead of Rennes 2 who are waiting for the final attribution of the season’s quotas to know if they will be in D2 or D3.

Final ranking :

1- Rennes

2- PonKer

3- Dinan

4- Rennes 2

5- La Rochelle/Saintes (guest)

6- Montfort/Saint-Malo/Combourg

7- Brest
