Let’s dive look back at the « I Campeonato Nacional Interclubes de Hockey Subacuático Categoría Élite » in Colombia, then feel the excitement of the Belgian Open. After that, let’s revisit the 3rd Round of the Regional DAM Championship before heading to Toulouse for the Occitanie Regional Championship.
This weekend the Belgian Open took place, in Belgium, a competition that brought together 11 teams divided into 2 divisions. In the first division, there were 4 teams: Njastacus, Orca, German Men’s, and Lille.
The Njastacus team dominated throughout the 2 days of the championship with 27 points and 50 goals scored, conceding only one goal on the first day. On the second day, Njastacus continued to dominate with 9 points, 21 goals scored, and only 1 goal conceded, totaling 36 points, 71 goals scored, and 2 goals conceded throughout the competition. The silver medal goes to Orca, with a total of 66 goals scored, 7 goals conceded, and 30 points over the 2 days of the championship. The 3rd place goes to German Men’s (22 pts – 46 goals scored – 24 goals conceded), and in 4th position, we have Lille with 19 points, 31 goals scored, and 40 goals conceded.
In division 2, the top of the podium is occupied by Wahoo Zurich, followed by EPO Akula and Zwarte Zwanen. Zuunse Karpers finishes 4th in the tournament, Mantis is 5th, Buwh Otters 6th, and Sharks finish 7th.
This Sunday in Franconville, the 3rd stage of the Regional DAM Championship took place. In this competition, 6 teams competed against each other. With 3 victories and 30 goals scored in 3 matches, the Clamart team emerged victorious and dominated all its matches with scores of 14-0 against Hope, 5-1 against Neuilly, and 11-0 against Franconville. Ermont also had a flawless performance by winning all 3 of its matches, 5-0 against Neuilly, 10-0 against the local team from Franconville, and 9-1 against Hope. Fontenay 2 finished this stage with 2 victories and one defeat, while Neuilly recorded 1 victory and 2 defeats. Franconville and Hope ended the weekend with a score of 0 wins and 3 defeats each.
Let’s review the Occitanie championship, which took place this Sunday at the Alban Minville pool in Toulouse. Three teams battled it out to reach the top of the podium and claim the gold medal. The Cahors team dominated and won the championship without conceding any defeats, with two victories totaling 9 goals scored and only 2 goals conceded.
In second place in the tournament, we find the Toulouse team, which lost 5-1 in the final against Cahors, followed by Montpellier, who leaves with a nice bronze medal. The regional tournament also provided an opportunity to prepare the Occitanie women’s team, who will compete in D3F in a bi-club setup between Montpellier and Toulouse.
