Last weekend, the prestigious Nautilus tournament, bringing together the best teams, in the UK at Sheffield’s legendary swimming pool, offered a major surprise. For the first time since 2014, the Southsea team did not win the First Division, making way for a new champion.
After a 31-year drought, it was the time for West Wickham to triumph, clinching their second title at the Nautilus. The victory ended a long wait for this historic club, which had not won the title since 1993.
The TSW A team took a solid second place, confirming their rise to the top of the British league. Yorkshire A took off the podium with the third place, reinforcing their position among the elite.
The real surprise of this year’s competition was Southsea A’s fourth place. For several years, Southsea had been the best team in the United Kingdom, flying high in the competitions. However, their performance in this tournament will motivate them to come back stronger in future competitions.
