2026 World Youth Championships: organizers add an extra competition day and cancel Saturday’s official practice sessions.
In one month, the 7th edition of the 2026 World Youth Championships will take place at the Olympic pool in Gebze, Turkey. Although the competition was originally scheduled to run from July 19 to 25, it has been extended by one day and will now start a day earlier. The tournament will feature 5 days of round-robin matches. This crucial adjustment will avoid grueling competition days running from 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m., preventing some teams from having to play an unsustainable rhythm of 3 to 4 matches per day.
