The Interclubs took place last weekend at Kings Park Stadium in Durban. After a long period without competition, the South African players got a taste of competition again.
Normal Air (NUC) beat president Heine Engelbrecht’s predictions to win the men’s A category. The Gauteng club, which includes the top scorer at the last World Youth Championship Liam Elferink, beat Cape Town and the Tridents A, a team of U19 and U24 players.
On the women’s side, Cape Town finished in first place ahead of Durban and NUC. For the record, Durban Undersea Club won the men’s B category and Gauteng won the Masters.
