The South African Interclubs Championships took place from 8 to 11 December 2022 at the Reddam Aquatic Centre in the north of Johannesburg. 17 teams in four categories competed for the national titles.
Last year’s winners in the A and Master categories, Normal Air Club (NUC) added the B category to their list of successes. For their fourth participation in the interclub competition, the Angolan team Lambulas finished in second place in this category. Estoril Praia, the other foreign team present at this competition, managed to get on the podium in the most competitive category. The Portuguese, led by David Torto Teiga, finished behind NUC and Cape Town.
In the women’s division, the number of teams increased from three last year to five. This change did not affect the podium, which remains the same as in the previous edition with Cape Town ahead of DUC and NUC.
