The French U24M team without coach for the first training camp of the year ?
With one week to go before the restart of the French youth teams, the French U24M team has, at the time of publishing this article, no coach after the departures of Olivier Flandrin and Loïc Horvais.
In post since 2015 and the Castellón World Championships, the emblematic coaches of the French U23 and then U24 teams have decided to pass the torch and leave their posts. Contacted by us, Arnaud Lagabbe, manager of the French teams, said that the choice of their successors is « not yet made » before adding that this might not be the case for the camp in La Rochelle on 4 and 5 September 2021. « It’s a detection camp, not a preparation camp, it’s not dramatic« .
While preparations for the 2024 World Championships are about to begin, the choice of coaches will have to wait.
