With 18 points, they are in first place in the standings and are the favourites for the title, if that wasn’t already the case. France follows in second place with 15 points. However, New Zealand are close behind, with 19 points and a game less than their rivals, and are still in with a shout of taking the lead. With two round-robin days remaining, the tension is mounting and each match will be decisive. So fasten your seatbelts, as the rest of the competition is sure to shake things up!
U24 M The top-of-the-table duel between New Zealand and South Africa lived up to all its promises, ending in a spectacular 3-3 draw. The Blacks and Boks currently dominate the standings with 22 points each, confirming their status as title favourites. Just behind them, Australia and France are at the third and fourth place. Turkey, in fifth place, are just 3 points ahead of Great Britain in eighth. Between these two teams are Colombia and Spain, both determined to hold on for dear life. Let’s face it, the category is marked by exceptional density. With two matches still to go, the uncertainty remains total, except for the top-2.
U24 W With 7 games and 7 wins, the Kiwis have a total of 21 points and are guaranteed to finish top of the table. Their impressive play and consistency make them firm favourites for the title. France, currently in second place, have put in a solid performance and should logically retain this position, barring any last-minute surprises. The French have shown excellent team cohesion and are preparing to take on Australia, a match that promises to be exciting. The battle for third place promises to be fierce between Colombia and Turkey, who meet tomorrow, and Australia.
