On May 1st and 2nd, the 24th edition of the European Underwater Hockey Championship (Euroclubs) took place. This year, the competition was held in Budapest, at the prestigious Danube Arena aquatic complex. Once again, this friendly tournament successfully brought together teams from across Europe—and even beyond.

The event featured 37 teams from 15 countries: 20 men’s teams and 17 women’s teams. For the first time, the competition extended beyond European borders, welcoming teams from the Americas, including the United States and Colombia. To accommodate all matches, three courts were set up, with games lasting 12 minutes each.

The competition ran over two days. The first day was dedicated to the group stages, which determined placement into upper and lower divisions (as well as an intermediate group for the men’s competition). At the end of these stages, the American team Tahoe topped the men’s upper group, followed by the eventual winners, Yorkshire Men, with Derin Ege in third place.

In the women’s competition, the French team Le Chesnay & Friends dominated Saturday’s matches, winning 4 out of 5 games (with one draw). Close behind them were the Madrid team and the London Ladies.

The final outcome of this 24th Euroclubs edition saw Yorkshire Men crowned champions after a tight 1–0 victory over the American team Tahoe. In the women’s competition, the French side Le Chesnay came close to taking the title but narrowly lost 2–1 to Madrid in the Euroclubs 2026 final.
