The FFESSM published a press release on 16 December 2021 concerning the decision of the Marseille court in the dispute with Jean Louis Dindinaud. It was decided that a new elective general assembly would be held following the non-conformity of the voting procedures for the March 2021 elections. Frédéric Di Meglio, President of the FFESSM, reacts to this decision.
After eight months of discussions and procedures, the result is now official. The Marseille court « cancelled the electoral operations held within the FFESSM from 20 to 27 March 2021″. It obliges the team in place to organize a new elective general assembly within three months. This decision was taken following a problem with the form of the previous elections, organised by the previous team. « The statutory deadline of 75 days was not respected between the convocation of 11 January 2021 and the holding of the general assembly, since the voting operations began on 20 March ». A fault in the process that Frédéric Di Meglio regrets. « The presidents and executive committees elected since 2005 have been elected with this same statutory error. »
If the president remains « confident » about the outcome of the future elective general assembly, he intends to do everything possible to avoid such an error from happening again. « There will be a very detailed, very precise convocation, to enable us to evaluate if, by any chance, there would be a new lockdown, what would happen. It’s up to me to plan everything so that everything is clear from the moment of the convocation. » Although the exact date of the next GA is not yet known, it should take place in a month and a half.
