During the weekend of 11 and 12 March, some competitions took place with the D2 women’s and the second round of the D1 in France and the national championship in Germany. Back to the news of the weekend.

Fontenay-Trésigny champion of the D2 Feminine

On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 March in La Rochelle, nine second division women’s teams met for the championship. The players from Seine-et-Marne are D2 champions for the second time consecutively after beating Pontivy-Quimper (3-2) in the final. The club of Moirans completes the third place on the podium.

Saintes wins round two of the D1

Also in La Rochelle, round two of the D1 brought together ten teams for the competition. The club from Saintes finished at the top of the ranking ahead of Le Puy-en-Velay and Nantes in third. The teams of Morlaix, Ermont and the Squale Team finished in the other three qualifying places, which are equivalent to a place in round three in Puy-en-Velay.

Weinheim wins German championship

In Germany, the national championship took place this weekend. The team from Weinheim won the tournament after beating the Marlins from Munich (4-2) in the final. The team from Berlin finished third in the competition.
