Some underwater hockey events took place this weekend especially in Toulouse with the Spanish women’s elite selection. Also in the United Kingdom, in the city of Leeds, the national student tournament was played. A short summary of this weekend.

The Spanish women’s elite team at the Pyrenees tournament

During the weekend of 18-19 February, the Pyrenees tournament hosted 16 teams, divided into three pools, A, B and C. This was an opportunity for the Spanish women’s elite selection to prepare before the World Championship in July in Australia. The Spanish women finished the tournament in second position in the Pool B.

West Yorkshire champions of the national student tournament

In the United Kingdom, and more specifically in the city of Leeds, the national student tournament was disputed on Saturday 18 February. The competition was played on two courts, with 14 teams in total. West Yorkshire, the hosts of the competition, won the tournament with 13 wins in 13 games played, scoring 82 goals and conceding only 1. London finished second and Oxford completed the podium in third place.
